Lathe Machine History

A metal lathe is a class of Industrial  lathes designed for precisely machining relatively hard materials. They were originally designed to machine metals; and can be used to built many things, are used for different type of applications. They are usually simply called lathes, or else referred to by more-specific subtype names (All Geared Lathe, Industrial Lathe, Heavy Duty Roll Turning Lathe, V-belt Lathe & etc.). These rigid machine tools remove material from a rotating workpiece via the (typically linear) movements of various cutting tools, such as tool bits & etc.

There are many industries which offer good lathe machines and mainly in India, city named Batala, in Punjab, it is a hob. During 1980’s, Batala was known as Iron City Of India. Preet Lathe Udyog, is one of the oldest Industrial Lathe Machine Manufacturer and they have accomplished good name for themself. Heavy parts of the machines are connected together and built for Heavy Duty Jobs. The design of the Lathe Machine can depend upon various specifications and on the requirement of the job, it can be designed in the same way. This helps ensure the components manufactured on the machines can meet the required tolerances and repeatability.

Bed of the lathe machine connects to the headstock and the tailstock. It should be robust, Flame Hardened Bed is good for Heavy Duty Work. Head Stock contains spindle, gear change mechanism and speed changing mechanism. In case a job is required to be cut from both the end at the same time, a Fixed Center Double Ended Chuck All Geared Lathe can be used as well. This is a special purpose machine,

It has two nos. true chuck on either side of the fixed center head, thus it works as two lathes operational simultaneously & allows you to complete the job more efficiently & accurately. Two Nos. chucks are connected to a fixed single center head and both chucks are operational simultaneously.A single pipe can be carved into desirable shape & size from either end with the help of Single Center Head & Two Chucks All Geared Lathe.
